Russia Sweeps Italy to Claim Fed Cup

I didn't think Italy had a chance. As of this writing, the score is Russia 4, Italy 0. Will probably be a clean sweep.

Svetlana Kuznetsova clenched the tie for Russia after rallying to defeat Francesca Schiavone 4-6, 7-6(7), 7-5. I didn't see the match, but from the socre, Sveta probably fought off a match point or two along the way.




Russia now holds both Fed and Davis Cups.
